The sale stems from receivership proceedings initiated last September after Ecoasis Developments LLP failed to repay a $62 million loan to creditor Sanovest Holdings Ltd. Approved by the B.C. Supreme Court on July 15, 2025, the process invites bids without a fixed listing price, operating on a competitive bidding basis. Potential buyers must submit letters of intent by September 16, 2025, detailing their proposed price and capital sources, with final bids due by November 3, 2025. This structure allows for market-driven valuation, potentially exceeding the outstanding debt given the property's development potential—zoned for over 2,310 residential units and 120,000 square feet of commercial space.

This sale represents a unique opportunity to invest in a well-established golf community with substantial growth prospects. As the bidding unfolds, Bear Mountain's future could see enhanced development, solidifying its status as a top-tier leisure destination in Canada.
