Heritage Golf Group has acquired Fox Hollow Golf Club in Trinity, Florida, from the Creighton family, according to a Heritage release dated Oct. 26. The community lies in Pasco County, within the Tampa Bay area. The deal makes the club Heritage's 51st property and its 14th in Florida.

Fox Hollow is located within a 10-mile radius of two other Heritage clubs, The Club at Cheval and TPC Tampa Bay. The Tampa Bay Business Journal headlined the purchase as the operator's "third in a 10-mile radius." Both Fox Hollow and TPC Tampa Bay remain open to the public, a setup Heritage says creates new opportunities to draw traveling golfers. Heritage bought The Club at Cheval in April 2025, according to Tampa Bay Business & Wealth, and had outlined plans there to improve the course, clubhouse and fitness center.

Heritage describes a broader strategy of building regional clusters that it says create operational efficiencies, enhance member benefits and expand its market presence. Members have reciprocal access to other clubs through the Heritage Plus Network. The approach echoes Independence Golf Club near Richmond, Virginia. That semi-private club, which has a Tom Fazio course, was acquired by Heritage in September 2026. The deal took the portfolio to 50 clubs, and the property sits about 20 minutes from Heritage's The Dominion Club. According to Golf Course Industry, Fox Hollow is Heritage's fourth acquisition in four months. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fox Hollow operates as a semi-private club. The Creighton family opened the par 71 course in 1994, and it ranks among the final designs by Robert Trent Jones Sr. The layout has five sets of tees and has appeared on Golf Digest's list of the Top 75 Courses Accessible to the Public in Florida, according to the release. The property includes a 15,000-square-foot clubhouse and a practice facility with 25 hitting bays, a chipping green, a practice bunker and a 10,800-square-foot putting green. Lessons and clinics are led by PGA and LPGA teaching professionals.

Jim Oliver, Heritage's chief operating officer, said: "The Robert Trent Jones Sr. course has character and the strong architectural foundation we look for in a golf course." He added: "With three clubs in such close proximity, we see tremendous potential to further establish this area as a destination for exceptional golf in Tampa Bay."

Heritage plans immediate capital improvements, with the first work scheduled for the opening week of ownership. Early efforts focus on course conditions, including overseeding to improve playability before the peak Florida golf season. Longer-term renovations are under evaluation, guided by the property's needs, operational leadership and member feedback.

Tampa Bay Business & Wealth reported that the company has not disclosed a renovation budget or identified additional projects. The sale places a course the Creighton family opened more than three decades ago in the hands of a national operator that is building a cluster around it. The only work announced so far is overseeding, and Heritage has not announced changes to membership pricing, public tee-time availability or the semi-private structure.
