The Jordan Family Gift Trust has completed the frame and roof of Michael Jordan's new lakefront house inside Peninsula Club on Lake Norman in Cornelius, North Carolina, on a lot the trust bought in 2013 for $2.8 million. Aerial photographs published at the start of September 2026 show the replacement building framed and roofed on the same waterfront parcel that once held a listing-era house of about 12,310 square feet, with six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a pier.

Lake Norman Publications reported the 2013 acquisition as a bank and foreclosure-era sale at that $2.8 million price. The older house remained until early 2025. Cornelius Today, in a February 24, 2025 account, described demolition then in progress. The NY Post later dated the takedown to March 2025. Those listing-era room counts, the 12,310-square-foot figure, and the pier belong to the demolished house only.

Peninsula Club is a private golf club on the Cornelius shore of Lake Norman, with a course credited to Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead. The lot abuts the club's seventh hole, a short Rees Jones par 3 of about 150 yards over a cove, with the tee box and fairway running the property line.

The published sequence is the 2013 purchase, the early 2025 demolition, and a new structure under roof by late summer 2026. By late August and early September 2026, aerials credited to Filmsbyjosh and BACKGRID, carried by the NY Post on September 2 and the Daily Mail on September 1, showed a completed frame and a finished roof. The coverage is a real estate account of a house on club ground, not a clubhouse filing.

Golf-adjacent waterfront lots still read as houses first, a point already on the record at 21 Fairfield Pond in Sagaponack, where the subject is likewise a residence next to a course. The Cornelius parcel remains inside Peninsula Club's residential ground. No excerpted document in the published accounts names an architect or a builder for the new house, and none gives a construction cost or a square-foot figure for the replacement.
