Rondele Ranch Buys Pinewood Golf Club in Harshaw, Plans New Clubhouse for 2027
Rondele Ranch, a 700-acre event and vacation property in Harshaw, Wisconsin, is buying neighboring Pinewood Golf Club. WJFW reports a new clubhouse for up to 150 people is planned, along with course renovations, for 2027.
WJFW reported on Oct. 24 that Rondele Ranch, a 700-acre event and vacation property in Harshaw, Wisconsin, is buying neighboring Pinewood Golf Club and plans a new clubhouse and course renovations for 2027. Harshaw lies in Oneida County in the state's Northwoods, between Rhinelander, Minocqua and Tomahawk.
Ethan Krinke of WJFW wrote that Rondele Ranch said the purchase continues its investment in the Northwoods community. The new clubhouse is planned with views of the first, ninth, 10th and 18th holes. Plans call for the building to hold up to 150 people for golf outings, weddings, banquets and other events. Golf simulators will be added for offseason play and practice. The report also noted that a new irrigation system and improved cart paths are scheduled for 2027, and that the course and all 18 holes are expected to be open next year.

On its website, Rondele Ranch describes itself as a 700-acre site with wedding venues, vacation rentals and gathering spaces. Pinewood Golf Club appears among nearby recreation options on its wedding page. The two properties are neighbors in Harshaw.
According to the club's history page, Pinewood is an 18-hole public course on 325 acres. Al and Marie Bromann Jr. moved from Itasca, Illinois, to Harshaw in 1959 and bought the land to build it. The front nine opened in 1962 on what had been a potato field. The back nine was cut out of hardwoods and completed in 1972. Al (Chip) and Jayne Bromann IV took over in 1998 as the third generation. In 2022, the course passed from the Bromann family to the Rose family (Ernie Rose).
The club's buildings are part of that history. The original clubhouse was a chalet, which is now a rental vacation home at the bottom of the third hole. The current clubhouse opened in 1972 as a pro shop and restaurant. Another Upper Midwest resort, Breezy Point in Minnesota, is also building a social clubhouse, the Ace Valley clubhouse.

Several details were not reported, including the purchase price, the closing date, the architect or builder of the new clubhouse, its size and cost, and whether the 1972 building will be torn down or kept. If built as scheduled, the new clubhouse would be the third in the course's history, following the chalet and the 1972 building.
