Heritage Golf Group acquires Old Natchez Country Club and its 30,000-square-foot clubhouse in Franklin, Tennessee
Heritage Golf Group has acquired Old Natchez Country Club in Franklin, Tennessee, its 49th club and Nashville-market entry, with the club's existing 30,000-square-foot clubhouse now on the capital watchlist.
Heritage Golf Group, the northern Virginia owner-operator whose current leadership has run the company since a January 2020 purchase, has acquired Old Natchez Country Club in Franklin, Tennessee, adding a private club and its existing 30,000-square-foot clubhouse as the company's 49th property and its first in the greater Nashville market. The Golf Wire carried the announcement on September 10, 2026, with Club + Resort Business and the Nashville Business Journal following the next day.
The club sits in Williamson County between Franklin and Brentwood, in Middle Tennessee. Press from Heritage and the club both describe Old Natchez as the area's oldest country club in continual existence, with more than a century of operation. Members play an 18-hole course on rolling terrain, with practice facilities and a full-service golf shop on the same grounds as six clay tennis courts, a junior Olympic pool with a slide and covered pavilion, fitness rooms, and a year-round social calendar.

The house is already there. The club lists a 30,000-square-foot clubhouse with casual dining in the Tap Room, formal dining in the Grille Room, banquet and event space, an event lawn, and a spacious veranda overlooking the grounds. Heritage's announcement treats that building as an asset to evaluate with the membership, not as a replacement or a new clubhouse.

Early improvement plans will be developed with members and the Old Natchez staff. Heritage said it will look at the golf course, the clubhouse, and lifestyle amenities, with spending aimed at member experience and the club's long-term position between Franklin and Nashville. No purchase price has been published, and no capital dollar has been attached to the house. Course-side work already described after the close includes planned bunker renovation, irrigation improvements, and maintenance-shop upgrades, also without a disclosed budget. Golf members also pick up reciprocal access through the Heritage Plus Network.
Old Natchez joins Colonial Country Club in Memphis and The Club at Gettysvue in Knoxville in Heritage's Tennessee portfolio. The deal sits in the same operator-and-house lane as Legacy Golf Properties' purchase of Achasta in Dahlonega, Georgia, where an existing clubhouse went onto a design list without a published sale price, and it lands in a Nashville-area market that is already seeing new amenity buildings rise at Firefly in Spring Hill. It is a different kind of close from Ohana's $191.2 million purchase of Panther National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where a 58,000-square-foot clubhouse was already heading toward a fall opening. This week's announcements do not include a purchase price, an architect, or a locked clubhouse program, which is the usual early posture on a development acquisition before drawings appear.
