The King & Prince Golf and Beach Club on St. Simons Island, Georgia, is rebuilding its clubhouse as South Street Partners and Northview Hotels & Resorts turn the property into a private coastal golf and social club, with the redesigned house and course pointed at a November 2026 opening. Membership launched in May 2026 as work on the rooms and the grounds moved forward together.
South Street Partners acquired The King & Prince Beach and Golf Resort and the Club in 2024. Northview Hotels & Resorts is leading project management and operational execution across the broader repositioning. Chris Randolph, managing partner at South Street Partners, has framed the work as a private-club vision and has expressed confidence that the November opening remains on pace. Members will also have access to the resort, which is being enhanced alongside the Club. The same ownership group is developing Triple Stick at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The clubhouse program under way includes a new club room, an outdoor terrace with covered dining and gathering space, upgraded locker rooms and a pro shop, and a new outdoor halfway house that doubles as a pre- and post-round hangout. Those rooms sit inside a larger capital package that The Golf Wire described in May as a comprehensive, approximately $7 million transformation of the golf course and practice facilities led by Beau Welling, whose Travis Club Golf House near Austin, Texas, is also on the desk. Practice work covers a rebuilt driving range, a short-game area, and a putting green.
First Call Golf reported in July that construction was still tracking toward November. Turf was maturing, bunkers were shaped, and TifEagle greens sprigging had begun, with Beau Welling Design and MacCurrach Golf on the course side. The par-72 routing is being retained at more than 6,600 yards from the back tees, with Celebration Bermuda on tees and fairways and irrigated turf reduced by about 20 percent. Chase Webb, a senior design associate, is named in the Golf Wire account. The official site at The King & Prince Golf and Beach Club continues to take membership inquiries.
Published accounts do not give a clubhouse-only budget, square footage, or an architect of record for the house, and they do not list dues. Until those figures appear, the clubhouses story is the rooms under construction and a November private opening that South Street says remains on schedule.
