Travis Club near Austin, Texas, schedules its Golf House for spring 2027 while the main Clubhouse and Fitness & Wellness Center remain planned. Member play on the Beau Welling course began over Labor Day weekend 2026.
Travis Club, a new private master-planned community of about 1,500 acres on the southwest shore of Lake Travis near Austin, Texas, is building its first golf building as a dedicated Golf House, with the broader Club Campus still to follow. Club + Resort Business and Community Impact reported that member play on the Beau Welling-designed course began over Labor Day weekend 2026, when nearly 160 members played. The Golf House is the architecture story now on the calendar: it is scheduled to open in spring 2027 beside the practice area, ahead of the remaining Campus buildings.
Interdisciplinary firm Hart Howerton led the community's master planning, architecture, and landscape architecture, a role the firm also holds on the clubhouse work Best Clubhouse has covered at Cabot Wilds in Nova Scotia. The central Club Campus is planned as three related pieces: the Golf House, a main Clubhouse, and a Fitness & Wellness Center. The official site at Travis Club lists the Golf House and Golf Clubhouse as separate Campus legend items rather than a single combined building.

The Golf House program is specific. When it opens it is slated to hold the Golf Shop, a restaurant and bar, an outdoor dining terrace, day lockers, training facilities, and Trackman-equipped hitting bays, all sitting alongside the practice ground. That practice ground includes natural-grass tees, putting greens, short-game areas, and instruction, with two comfort stations out on the course. The course itself is a par-71 layout measuring more than 7,300 yards from the back tees; Beau Welling also designed Fields Ranch West at PGA Frisco and Pelican Golf Club in Florida.
The main Clubhouse and the Fitness & Wellness Center remain planned on the same Campus. Open wires do not publish square footage or a capital budget for the main Clubhouse. That sequencing, a golf-forward first building with a larger amenity campus still on the boards, is the same broad pattern Best Clubhouse has followed at Firefly in Spring Hill.
Travis Club CEO Leisha Ehlert called the course opening a defining moment and credited Beau Welling's team. The community has surpassed 190 homesite sales, with construction underway on nearly 20 homes and more than 40 in design review, and the first completed residences expected this fall. Lakefront recreation, trails, and a marina sit in the wider plan and do not change the Club Campus sequence now in print.
What has not been published is a finished size or dollar figure for the main Clubhouse, or a date beyond spring 2027 for the Golf House itself. The clubhouses story on the property therefore starts with the building that has a calendar: shop, restaurant, terrace, lockers, and Trackman bays on Lake Travis, scheduled for spring 2027.
