The Club at Mediterra in Naples, Florida, has completed vertical construction on its board-reported $38 million Sports & Lifestyle Center. Phase 1 Fitness & Wellness aims for summer 2027; the full two-phase program tracks summer 2028.
The Club at Mediterra in Naples, Florida, has completed vertical construction on its board-reported $38 million Sports & Lifestyle Center, a two-phase building designed by David Corban Architects and built by BUILD. Phase 1 is a Fitness & Wellness building of about 27,000 to 28,000 square feet on open land at the Piazza, sited so the existing Sports Club can stay open, and aimed at summer 2027.
The club and Club + Resort Business both marked the milestone on August 18, 2026. Roofing crews had finished the peel-and-stick underlayment ahead of tile, interiors had moved into plumbing, electrical, fire-sprinkler, and duct work, and new pavers were on the ground. The $38 million figure comes from board and community reporting, including Naples Coastal Connection on August 3, 2026, and notes from Matt Brown that the board approved the sports project in February 2025. Club + Resort Business did not restate that number in its vertical-construction report. Gulfshore Business has called the work a multimillion-dollar project.

Harris Interiors is designing the interiors. LJA Engineering is designing the landscape. Carmen Mauceri, CCM, ECM, the club’s general manager and chief operating officer, put Phase 1 at approximately 28,000 square feet in an August 12 conversation with Club + Resort Business. The club’s February announcement described a 5,600-square-foot fitness room; lockers taken to 2,400 square feet with plunge pools and infrared saunas; a yoga, fusion, and functional studio of about 1,600 square feet; a spin room of about 600 square feet; and a Pilates room of about 900 square feet. The same notice listed a spa with five treatment rooms, a café, lifestyle and meeting rooms including a ladies’ card room, a bocce garden and terraces, and a porte cochere, grand staircase, and cupola.
After members move into Phase 1, the club plans to demolish the existing sports facility and build Phase 2, about 6,000 square feet, for a casual restaurant and bar, a resort-style pool, expanded lockers, and space held for future racquet use. That February announcement set completion of the full program by summer 2028, a horizon Naples Coastal Connection still uses for the overall finish, while Phase 1 remains aimed at summer 2027. Published accounts describe the two phases together as more than 30,000 square feet. They do not publish a single surveyed total.
“Seeing this project take shape month over month speaks to the level of care and planning behind it,” Mauceri said when the shell came up. “We are building something that reflects who our members are today and where this community is headed, all while honoring the character and legacy that make Mediterra the special place it is.” He has said the sports project combines financing and a member capital fee, while golf-course renovations are paid from separate capital reserves built over time. The August notes mention course work only as concurrent context.
