The Ranch Clubhouse at Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, California, is in late construction on an Association-funded renovation of about $9.4 million, with Ocio Design Group's circular bar, expanded patio, and new lobby still pointed at a fall 2026 reopening. Flooring is going down inside the house, decorative tile is being set on the patio, and the kitchen has cleared fire-department review, according to a September 7 Hoodline report that followed a September 3 Association update.
Rancho Santa Fe Association director of planning and development Maryam Babaki told the community that the kitchen is close to service-ready and that Golf Club administration had already moved back into refreshed offices. Temporary trailers used during construction are expected to leave the site soon. Those milestones sit after an August 2026 grand-reopening date that did not hold. The San Diego Union-Tribune had described a January 15, 2026 start and an eight-month schedule when the Association was two months from breaking ground.
San Diego-based Ocio Design Group drew the program around a bar-centered great room and a circular bar, with an expanded patio, a wine lounge, a card room, and a new lobby entrance. November 2025 Union-Tribune coverage also described a NanaWall glass wall that folds open toward the golf course. The last major layout change dated to 2007. Association voices had described the old dining room as closer to a banquet hall than a club restaurant. Structural work named in that same November piece included a new roof, HVAC upgrades, painting, and a new sound system, along with kitchen, bathroom, and landscape updates.

The money moved in steps. The Association board approved an $8 million proposal for the clubhouse restaurant and surrounding parking lot on January 30, 2025, as reported by the Union-Tribune. A December 2025 funding decision put the figure at about $9.4 million, the number Hoodline used in September 2026. The Union-Tribune's November 2025 construction preview also framed the job at about $9.6 million. Earlier conceptual ranges of $2 million to $4 million were not the funded project.

The restaurant is an Association amenity shared with the Golf Club under a 2019 arrangement, open to Covenant residents as well as golf members. During construction, service ran through an interim Snack Bar. That joint operating structure is separate from the private clubhouse just finished at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, a different campus and a different $14 million renovation. The Ranch work also sits alongside other house campaigns already on the clubhouses desk, including the phased renovation at The Club at Ibis.
Published updates do not include a square footage for the Ranch Clubhouse, a firm reopen date inside the fall window, or a general contractor of record in the Association and Hoodline accounts used here. If the current finish pace holds, the circular bar and the patio that looks onto the course are the rooms members will meet first when the house comes back.
