Audubon Country Club, a private club in Naples, Florida, has started an approximately $24 million multi-phase renovation and expansion of its main clubhouse, with architecture and interiors by AM Design Group. Phase 1 construction has been underway since April 2026. The capital is aimed at the dining, bar, event, and shop rooms of the existing house, sequenced so core amenities stay open with temporary adjustments.
AM Design Group, a firm that designs architecture and interiors for private-club environments, is leading both the building work and the interiors. Golf Business News reported the start of the $24 million project and an expected completion through 2027, with reopening anticipated in early 2028. The club's own renovation calendar is more granular and marked approximate: Phase 1 from April 2026 through December 2026, a pause with modified amenities from January 2027 through April 2027, Phase 2 construction from April 2027 through December 2027, and a grand opening in early 2028.

The published member program is a set of rooms rather than a new sports campus. A new gathering bar, identified in trade coverage as the Sunset Bar, is planned as the social hub, with expanded seating, refined finishes, and enhanced lighting. The Grille Room is slated for a complete renovation. The ballroom is being expanded. A new outdoor dining venue and a reimagined veranda are intended to pull indoor rooms onto the terrace. The plan also adds a dedicated wine room and a grab-and-go coffee bar. The pro shop is being relocated and expanded to a more prominent location.
Behind those rooms, the club is adding a new 5,000-square-foot operations wing for employee facilities, expanded office space, and consolidated storage. That 5,000 square feet is the only new floor area the club and Golf Business News have published. Neither source states a total size for the existing clubhouse or for the finished member rooms, and neither names a general contractor beyond AM Design Group's design role.
The design language released with the project is limited to natural textures, soft coastal tones, and refined detailing, described as a connected and versatile clubhouse for daily use and larger events. Programming continues through construction, with the mid-project pause written into the calendar so some amenities can run on a modified schedule between phases.
The work is the main-house program at a private Naples club, not a fitness campus of the kind now rising at The Club at Mediterra, where a $38 million Sports & Lifestyle Center is a separate two-phase build. The dollar figure is close to Santa Ana Country Club's $26 million replacement clubhouse in California, while Audubon renovates in place rather than replacing the building, and it is not a new house on the order of Victoria National's 28,000-square-foot clubhouse in Indiana. Audubon has not published a finished size among the clubhouse projects now in construction.
The club calendar and the Golf Business News report do not include a month for the 2028 opening, a contractor of record, or a total clubhouse size.
