Ansley Golf Club in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, has renovated its dining and food-and-beverage rooms with Atlanta firm Kuo Diedrich Chi Architects, delivering a new 1912 Lounge as the entry to a renovated third-floor dining room that looks over downtown. First Call Golf reported the work on September 17, 2026. JC Chi, the firm's lead designer at Ansley, is also spearheading Ansley Forward, an estimated $48 million multi-year capital campaign still ahead of the club.

The 1912 Lounge is the new threshold into the upstairs dining room. Spaces that once read as formal now work as transitional, casual rooms framed by modern black-steel windows and doors that stay open while members move through. A second dining venue downstairs is set up for families using the pool and racquet facilities. Chi told First Call there is no white-linen table dining room at the club. "Ansley is just all about casual," he said. "They like the moniker that this is Atlanta's 'fun club.'"

The club opened in 1912 as Ansley Park Golf Club and took the Ansley Golf Club name in 1953, according to the club's About page. It ranks No. 40 on the Platinum Clubs of America biennial list and keeps a multi-year waitlist. Coverage names 2009 Open champion Stewart Cink as a member. A second clubhouse campus at Settindown Creek in Roswell, Georgia, joined the club in 1999.

The Midtown dining rooms are the work now on the ground. Ansley Forward is the next chapter Chi is leading: an estimated $48 million program of strategic capital projects in the years ahead. First Call does not treat that campaign as open, and it does not publish a line-item budget, a delivery date, or a square-footage program for the future work.

The sequence is familiar from other clubs that have spent first on an existing house rather than a teardown, including the about $16 million renovation and expansion at The Club at Olde Cypress in North Naples and the approximately $24 million multi-phase clubhouse work at Audubon Country Club in Naples, a different path from the 28,000-square-foot replacement clubhouse at Victoria National in Indiana, all in the same clubhouses vertical. First Call does not publish a construction cost for the 1912 Lounge and third-floor dining rooms, a measured square footage for those rooms, or a schedule that would place Ansley Forward in the same tense as the dining already in use.
